“For God, who said, ‘Let light shine out of darkness,’ made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God’s glory displayed in the face of Christ. But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us.”

— 2 Corinthians 4:6-7 —

We were not a production company looking for a story to create.

We had a message. We had His Story.
He took us and turned us into a film crew.

We longed to take His Gospel to the darkest places on the planet.
He chose us as jars of clay holding His glory.
This is how Tetelestai came about, how Light in Action was born.

Darkness & Light

We knew what Darkness looked like. God gathered our small team from diverse backgrounds. Having grown up in different places on the planet, we had seen first hand what the absence of Light looked like in all its various forms. From the cries of a child enduring neglect in the slums of South America to the tears of a teen suffering from the emptiness of hedonism in North America – we saw how darkness brought devastation. From deadly coups in Africa, to alcoholism in Northern Canada – we saw how darkness brought death.

We also saw the power of the Light. No one was too far gone, too lost, too hopeless for Him. We saw firsthand what could happen when the Light of Jesus came to a person, a family, or a whole community. Many of us had the privilege of growing up in homes where taking the life of Jesus to those who had never heard was the central focus of our existence. From flying float planes in isolated communities to learning an unwritten, tribal language – we realized that every effort would be necessary to reach the unreached … because His Light brought Life.

God’s Empowering

None of us set out to make movies. We were all headed in different directions. When we came together to work on the series that became “Tetelestai,” we all thought of it as a short project before beginning our “real ministries” of taking the Gospel to those who had never heard. Little did we realize that this series would go farther and would impact more lives and people groups than any of us could have imagined.

Today Light in Action is producing new films to target the largest unreached segments with stories that will draw them to the Light. With the Tetelestai Project we continue to partner with God’s people worldwide to take Tetelestai, the Eternal Story of Redemption to those who have never heard of the God who passionately loves them and paid the ultimate price for their Rescue.
